This is our last meeting before the AGM! We've got loads to talk about and we're really looking forward for what's to come.
Matters Arising
- We're testing a new package called "DYC Event Console" developed by us for our Events and Awards.
- A Residential is being planned for DYC this summer.
- On social media, we're going to run a campaign to "Take Back Control on Tobacco" - make sure to keep updated on our Social Media Pages.
- For our "Protect the Environment" Campaign, we're planning a Litter Pick in Saltwells.
DYA (Dudley Youth Awards 2020)
- We met recently and have decided our Theme, Date and Venue, all to be announced soon on our DYA Page and DYC Social Media Pages.
Guest - Shain Akhtar:
- Shain came in to discuss Supported Accommodation for Young People in Dudley.
- She worked with us in October 2018 and wanted to feedback to us about their work, and how our views have helped to change the services provided to better meet young peoples' needs.
- We can't wait to work more with her in the future regarding this issue, which will include "inspecting" the accommodation to make sure they are working in the right way.
Guest - Kit Showande:
- Kit from "Lyfeproof" joined us to discuss Event Management.
- He wants to work with us not only on DYA, but also Networking and Media Projects.
